Orange StartUp Cup Challenge was a seven-month programme for business builders and entrepreneurs in Egypt, sponsored by Orange Egypt, powered by GriffinWorx and implemented by enpact. It is an innovative, community-based initiative designed to increase the quality and quantity of entrepreneurs in the Egyptian community.

StartUp Cup supported entrepreneurs to develop a solid business model, taking their needs into consideration. Throughout the programme, the participating startups developed accelerated go-to-market strategies, rapid revenue development techniques, and bootstrapping methods.
Out of 182 teams, 70 startups participated, engaging over 136 entrepreneurs/business builders. The participating startups operated in a wide range of industries including Gaming & VR, App Development, Agriculture, Transportation, Digital Education and Marketing Services.
The Startup Cup Challenge kicked off with the Idea Marathon titled “Extreme Build-A-Business (EBAB)” weekend, where 42 top mentors and coaches in the country supported the participating startups in taking their businesses to the next level. Throughout the weekend, the startups received training on developing the entrepreneurial mindset and visual thinking, designing your business model, building your core team and advisor network, and bootstrapping your startup.
25 startups were then selected to undergo the acceleration programme, which involved over 290 intensive coaching and mentoring sessions across all aspects of their business. The acceleration programme concluded with an award celebration with the top 5 startups winning cash prizes ranging from 20,000 EGP to 100,000 EGP.
